In yesterday's class, Mr. Peters talked about baseball. He said, "baseball is one of the most popular sports in the USA. If you hope to speak English well, you must understand baseball. First, you need to know the rules. Then you need to try to find how it has to do with daily life."
He gave us some expressions and let us guess the meanings. Unluckily, I had never watched a baseball game before, so I sat quietly and just listened to the others. After school, I took out a dictionary and asked Jake, one of my friends in the neighboring class, for help. Jake was kind and patient and he has been in the USA for several years. He tried to teach me the baseball rules. I learned that baseball is a game between two teams of nine players.
