3. Li Meixi, 12, feels worried about her looks —not her face, but her clothes. When she sees fashionable people on the street, she avoids running into them. "I am afraid that they think I am out of style. Ashamed of my common ordinary clothes, I feel like I don't even deserve (值得) to walk on the same street with them," said Li, from Chengdu, Sichuan.
What Li is experiencing is fashion worries. It bother many people today. They are worried about their clothes, afraid of being seen out of style. They are worried about clothes, afraid of being seen out of study.
A big reason for fashion worries is fashion bullying (霸凌), experts said. As fashion magazines, advertisement and idols (偶像) show off the "latest and greatest" trends (潮流), there's a lot of pressure on people, especially teenagers, to follow them, no matter how expensive it might be. "The need to belong in groups is very important to young learners and exclusion (偶像) is something they see as the end of the world," said Andy Cranham, a teacher at City of Bristol College, UK.
"Another reason some people might have fashion worries is that they don't have a sense of self-identity (自我认同)," said The Paper. It looks like we feel worried about our clothes, but actually we are not confident enough. So we care about how fashionable people look at us. We easily doubt or even blame ourselves. The reality is that those people usually don't notice us at all.
Fashion trends come and go, always changing. Instead of rushing to follow a trend, the key is to find your own style. If you're able to wear something with confidence, you will be the one starting a trend. More importantly, the clothes are just a part of your image. It can't tell the true you. What also matters is your personality and abilities.
4. New Zealand is a beautiful island country in the Pacific Ocean. There, snowy mountains rise high above the sea and grassy hills go across the land for miles. However, if you spend some time walking around the land, you'll smell something different. Almost 30 million sheep and 10 million cows travel around those green hills and each one of them is farting (放屁).
That may sound like a joke. But scientists aren't laughing. There are more cows and sheep than people in New Zealand:eight to one. And these animals fart more than 4 million tons of gas every year.
That gas adds to one of the most dangerous problems we face today:global warming (全球变暖). The gas that farm animals produce is called methane (甲烷), a greenhouse gas which can lead to climate (气候) change. But sheep and cows are not the main reason. Most greenhouse gases are produced by factories and cars.
But in New Zealand, farm animals produce almost half the country's greenhouse gases. That's why scientists in New Zealand are working hard to solve the problem. They've found medicine that can reduce gas in sheep and cows. But most farm animals in New Zealand walk free. It's hard to round them up to give them medicine.
There's also a third plan. Some scientists have put sheep in special sealed cages (密封笼子). They measure (测量) the gas that a sheep produces. It helps scientists find that some sheep naturally make less gas than others. When they give birth to those sheep together, their baby sheep farts less than their cousins.
It's only a small improvement. But those baby sheep just might make the planet a better place to live.

With most people staying at home due to COVID-19, livestreaming (直播) has become more and more popular. It is not only enjoyable, but has also provided a new stage for traditional culture artists.
On video sites (网站) and apps such as Douyin and Bilibili, many traditional artists are trying livestreaming for the first time. Some of them sing Peking Opera, some show their artworks, while others perform calligraphy (书法) or classical Chinese music.
Li Jun is a laosheng (old male rold) Peking opera performer from the Shanghai Jingju Theater Company. During the outbreak, the 59﹣year﹣old started livestreaming for the first time. Unlike performing on a theater stage, Li uses everyday places as his stage, including his backyard, study room, and even a treadmill (跑步机). Besides singing, Li also teaches viewers about Peking Opera in a humorous way.
"Livestreaming has brought this elegant (高雅的) art down to earth," one viewer said.
"It allows young people to have easier chances to this traditional art and learn more about it." Up to now Li has more than 6,000 fans on Douyin, while one of his videos has received 42, 000 views on Bilibili.
Other kinds of artists also see livestreaming as a new opportunity. On March 26th the third China Huafu Day, Bilibili livestreamed a fashion show. Performers presented beautiful clothes in traditional Chinese styles, including those from the Wei, Tang and Ming dynasties. During the show viewers not only enjoyed seeing the clothes but also watched how performers used ancient styles of make﹣up. For example, one blogger taught people how to draw the guiye eyebrow (桂叶眉), which was a typical make-up style during the Tang Dynasty.
