3.  In North America, most students usually go to school by school bus or subway. In small towns and cities, walking is still popular. The yellow school bus is very convenient (便利的)because it takes students right to the entrance (入口)to the school. Students can also talk with their friends on it. But the bus is slow and is not always on time. The subway runs quickly. However, it is expensive and can be very crowded sometimes. And the stops may be far away from the school, so students often have to walk or take a bus from the subway stop to the school. Walking is good exercise for those who live close to school. But it's no fun if you have a large backpack full of books to carry. It's also unpleasant if the weather is either too hot or cold or wet.
4.  The Dragon Boat Festival falls on the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar (阴历). It is one of the most important Chinese festivals, the other two being the Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese New Year.
  The origin (起源) of this festival centers around an official named Qu Yuan. He is a good man, but because of others' misdeeds (恶行), he cannot regain (重新获得) the respect of the emperor. Qu Yuan is so sad that he throws himself into the Miluo River. The local people rush into their boats to look for him. But they don't find him. With tears in their eyes, people throw rice dumplings into the river to feed the fish, hoping that the fish will not harm (伤害) the body of Qu Yuan. This may be the origin of zongzi.
  In memory of Qu Yuan, people have dragon boat races and eat zongzi. Besides, many Chinese think of this time of year as a dangerous time. Families will hang herbs (草), called Ay Tsao (艾草), on their door to protect (保护) their family from illness.
5.  Tigers are the kings of the forest. The tiger is a symbol of strength and courage. Tigers look like the large cats. They have got "a brown coat" with black strips (条纹). (1)      .   This afternoon, China's Shenzhou-13 crew members Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu livestream (直播) the first science class from the country's space station. It surprises many students on Earth.
The class starts at 3:40 p. m. (Beijing Time)and lasts about 45 minutes. 1, 420 primary and middle school students take the class from five classrooms across China.
  At the beginning of the class, Wang, the first female taikonaut (女航天员) to enter China's space station, shows their bedrooms and toilet, a kitchen, and the area where they do scientific experiments (实验). In the kitchen, she shows a microwave, a water dispenser (饮水机) and a mini-refrigerator to the students. To answer a Hong Kong student's question about water, Wang says the water they drink is recycled (循环). There is no difference in taste between regular and recycled water.
  Ye and Wang then tell the students that people can't walk in space like they do on the ground because of the low gravity (重力).
