17. Hi, boys and girls, do you want to save our environment? If so, please follow these ways, you can do good to our environment in clever ways.
Think GreenThink more about the environment as you live your life. Always remember to turn off lights and TVs when you don't use them, and then you'll save energy. And taking a shorter shower will help you save water.
Shop GreenBuying things you don't need is bad for the Earth. Before shopping, ask yourself how much you'll really use it. Stop buying things with too much packaging(包装). Try to buy thins in your own town, but not too far away.
Study GreenYou can save the environment while studying. It can be as simple as using both sides of a piece of paper, or _____ an old textbook. Want to do more? Join an environmental group at your school, and your friends would like to join too.
Travel GreenA green travel is good for the environment. If you go to a far city, travelling by train is safer and better for the environment. And taking a bus is greener than driving a car. Of course, walking is a smart choice if you live near the school.

A Little Boy's DreamIn my little 1go, Sailing for across the sea. All alone, just little me. And the sea is big and strong. Far away, far away, From my home and from my play, On a journey without end, Only with the sea for friend, And the fishes in the sea, But they swim away from me. Then he cried "O Mother dear. "And he woke and sat upright, Mother's arms around him-tight.
Poem Two
Dad
Growing up to be a man, He loves me with all his heart. To be better, Working hard to help meHolding my hand through, All the _____ times, And laughing with me through, The good ones, Proud to call him.
19. In our life, pets are an important part. They can bring a lot of fun to people. The most popular pets must be dogs. We can see them everywhere. Dogs have many kinds. One of them is guide dogs. It's a kind of dog for blind people. They can help blind people to go everywhere they want to go.
How does a guide dog know where to go? How do they find their way? In fact, you have to tell the guide dogs where to go. You also need to know the way by yourself first. When walking on the road, the dog walks in a straight line and people can control (控制) them by a rope or something. You can tell them to go straight, left or right.
Guide dogs are clever, so they can remember the way if they often walk. But sometimes, there are some accidents because sometimes blind people can't hear the sound of cars, so they tell the dog to go and accidents will happen. I think people should be careful when driving cars. We should help blind people and guide dogs.
20. In the United States, we are lucky to have an easy way to get clean water — just by turning on the tap.
We wake up in the morning, take a shower, brush our teeth, drink a cup of coffee and go out to enjoy a beautiful day. Water is an important part in our daily lives and we use _______ for different aims, but do we really know how much we use?
Each American family uses more than 300gallons of water per day at home. About 70% of this use is indoors.
Water also plays a big part in our local communities. Without water there would be no local business or factories. Fire fighting, parks, and public swimming pools all need lots of water. We need a lot of pipes to bring us a large amount of water to our taps each day.
Where does all this water come from? It starts out as rain or snow and flows into our local lakes, rivers and streams or into underground. You can learn more about water in your country, for example, how people protect water and where your local drinking water comes from.
21. When you choose a career, what you must think about is your hobby. People are usually good at their hobbies. Both the hobby and the skill are a very strong reason for choosing a career.
You can turn your hobby into a career, but you may have to get some training. If a person loves making clothes, he probably has to know the new clothes styles(风格), and know what styles look good on different people and have some skills in using the tools. He has many ways to do this. He can go to school to learn how to be a clothes designer. He can also learn to become a clothes designer by having classes or by learning about the job.
When you try to turn your hobby into a career, don't forget to do your homework. You may enjoy training your parrots to sing some songs, but it doesn't mean you're fit to be an animal trainer. De sure to decide your career choice. Maybe you like your hobby very much, but sometimes it is not good for you, So you have to keep your day job, and save your hobby for your free time.
