To be honest, I used to hate my family a lot. My parents often argued and never cared about me and my brother Sam. Sam often fought with me. So I stayed in my own bedroom most of the time. But now everything has changed and we've got on well with each other. I love my family.

I once volunteered to teach in a village primary school. It's a valuable experience for me. Most pupils were from poor families, but they all loved to study. I taught them English and played games with them. When seeing their happy faces, I felt great.

2. My neighbor is a very nice lady. Everyone calls her "Happy" because we have never seen her angry at anything and never heard her say a harsh (苛刻的) word to anyone or about anyone.
Happy and her husband Ben, 70, have a huge garden. They spent many happy hours together working on it. Most of the neighbors watched interestingly as Ben doubled the size of their garden. As the vegetables got more and more expensive, we all wished we also had such a large garden. As the rest of us spent our dollars at the market, Happy could be seen picking beans in her backyard.
Last month, Happy and Ben invited most of the neighborhood over for an "all-day food activity". We were told to bring gloves and arrive very early in the morning. We didn't know what was going on.
By 9:00 a.m., there were nine of us in the garden picking tomatoes, beans, okra and cucumbers. By 10:00 a.m., there was lots of laughter. We shared a lot of stories. By five o'clock, everyone was a little drunk from the wine and beer. After dinner, we played games. As we were leaving, Happy and Ben handed each of us a shopping bag filled with the bounty (收成) of the day. What a great gift!
Well, the point wasn't so much about the food. The true gift was a day of friends enjoying one another's company. It's all because of Happy and Ben's garden that we can get together so happily. Now they have a blog about gardening. And I am so proud of my tomato plants!

3.Be a Team Player
If you really wish to succeed in life, it is very important to be a team player. For example, in a basketball game, Michael Jordan is a great player, but he still has to work well with his team members to win a game, because every member of his team has a very important role and every member of the team is necessary to the success of the team.

Lab (实验室) work and group programs are just some of the experiences calling for good teamwork with others. In the workplace, working together is also necessary for success, for no one person can build a railroad or manage an airline.
