After the meal, if nothing is planned, you need to stay for about an hour before saying goodbye. Always send a thank﹣you note or card in the mail, and don't do it more than a day or two after the dinner.

  In Mexico, its good luck to give birthday greetings as early in the day as possible. So its usual for the birthday child to wake up at midnight with friends singing birthday songs.
  In Thailand the birthday person holds a tall candle. The candle is as tall as the birthday person. It will bring good luck to him or her.
  In many countries , birthday customs are changing. But one thing never changes — Birthdays are special days for everyone!
17.  There are many foreign teachers in China today. Among them, Philip Hancock is certainly an unusual one. The young man always wanted to give back, even when he was close to death. His last wish was to donate his organs (器官) to save others. His act changed five Chinese lives for the better.
  Phillip came from Sydney, Australia. When he was a college student, he showed great interest in China and studied Chinese by himself in his free time.   Unluckily, Phillip had a health problem. He fought his diabetes (糖尿病) for many years. Though his condition used to be under control, it became worse in 2018. Phillip knew most of his organs were still working well. He hoped to donate them to Chinese people in need after his death.
  Phillip died on May 9th, 2018. Many Chinese people see him as a hero. Although his physical body is no longer here, he will always be with us.

  Gradually, the king felt lighter and more active than before. He realized why the wise man asked him to reach his home by walking. Before long, the king became healthy.
